Preston is an award winning visual artist and Art Director who has been creating imaginative visions and compelling narratives for games and entertainment since 2012. His passion for teaching and collaborating has helped to develop the careers of the hundreds of illustrators he has worked with as Art Director with the Asmodee studios Fantasy Flight Games and Atomic Mass Games.
He has overseen visual development and production on over 20 unique game lines focused within the fantasy/sci-fi genre. Most notably, he has been the visual voice of Star Wars table-top games from 2018-2026, directing teams of artists on the games Star Wars: Legion, Star Wars: Shatterpoint, Star Wars: X-wing, Star Wars: Armada, and several Star Wars role playing games.
Preston has contributed as concept artist, illustrator, and worldbuilder on all of Atomic Mass Game’s current titles, Fantasy Flight Games’ Descent: Legend of the Dark and Keyforge, Knight Errant Games Heroes’ Tears, and Rusted Portal Games’ Apocalypse Risen.
His involvement in the game industry has made his work quietly some of the most visible in any game convention and game store.
Looking to the future, Preston aims to expand his creative expertise into arenas beyond the gaming world, to help companies and individuals find their visual voice, and help aspiring visual artists gain the skills they need to succeed in the world of commercial art.
